We are sharing this for a film director that reached out to us. It sounds like an amazing opportunity for two of our students. It would be amazing to know two stars!!!! Please direct any questions to Sam Mizrahi-Powell.
From Mr. Mizrahi-Powell: The film is called Daisy Hole and it’s a small independent short film, but with a big impact. The film is surreal folktale about a brother and sister who become lost and separated from their mother in the Great Plains. The story is a personal and honest tale about childhood, motherhood, and life.
We plan to shoot the film this upcoming Spring, when the plains (hopefully) become a little greener. Likely, we will film in the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, but are still scouting other plains and ranches around the area.
We are looking to cast two children for the leading roles in the film. A boy and a girl from about ages 3-8, although, all elementary school kids should feel welcome to apply! The characters in the film are sensitive, anxious people, and so we encourage all types of kids to apply, no matter how quiet or outspoken.
No previous acting experience is necessary. We’re looking for real kids, real people!
Families/kids who are interested or who know someone who might be interested in speaking with us should send an email with a brief description of themselves (and a photo) to daisyholefilm@gmail.com
We plan to submit the finished project to film festivals all across the nation!

People can go there to learn a bit more about me and my films (which are available to watch for free there). My film Pursuit Of A Jigsaw was purchased by a production company ALTER, which has millions of subscribers on YouTube, and that film can be seen there as well (although I’d say it’s PG13 and could be a little creepy to younger kids)
