Parents of 11th and 12th graders: As many of our students are considering options for life after high school, our juniors and seniors should become aware of Build Dakota. This is a full-ride scholarship program for students attending technical college and entering high need fields in South Dakota. The technical colleges partner with businesses across the state to provide these scholarships which in turn provides a vital work force for South Dakota. This fall, their 10th year of students, they have about 615 students starting college with approximately $10.5 million in combined financial support! Please look for more information on a parent/student and community meeting that the high school is organizing to bring to Hot Springs. The tentative date is November 4th. The application cycle is January 1 – March 31, 2025, application cycle. They’ve added several new programs for the 2025-2026 school year: • Early Childhood • Powersports • Medical Assistant • Dental Hygienist • Entrepreneurship
