Office of the Superintendent
Welcome to the Hot Springs School District!
To the community of Hot Springs-
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the school superintendent for the Hot Springs School District. The district serves 700 students PK-12th grade. The District has prioritized providing students with positive academic performance that translates into successful career and/or college preparation, maintaining high levels of expectations and communication, relying on data to drive instruction and improve levels of performance, and supporting efforts to ensure effective instruction occurs in every classroom. The commitment to provide every student what he/she needs comes straight from our School Board. Programming reflects the desire to design an educational system that aligns to the needs that our students must have to be equipped for the world today. The connection between the school, students, teachers, staff, and our community is imperative to allow our school district to keep moving forward.
The ”spirit of education” means that what is prioritized as a district and a community is evident in the daily occurrences within the system. Hot Springs strives to support all students to be the very best scholars, however it is just as important to support every student to be the very best person that they can be. Potentially we are investing in our future business women/men, parents, neighbors, employees, and bosses in this community. If our students leave the community, we want them to have the skill set and confidence in all areas so that they are successful wherever they go. This is the celebration piece that comes from the work, learning, and achievement that takes place during the school year.
Tradition should always be honored and there are deep roots of success and achievement in the Hot Springs School District. It is the charge of every employee with the Hot Springs School District to take this foundation and build upon it. I believe that Hot Springs is uniquely positioned to partner with different agencies and organizations to enhance the opportunities that our students have both in the PK-12 school setting but also beyond graduation. We have the right staff, students, community, and school board to decide what this looks like.
As your school superintendent, I plan to be available to all stakeholders to listen and learn more about this community and what we can do for our kids. We want a safe and positive learning environment for our students; strong partnerships and respectful relationships are key to making that happen.
